He can also begin the bone grafting process if any part of your jawbone needs to be rebuilt before it can support implants. He is licensed to administer IV sedation, and also uses oral sedation, nitrous oxide, and local anesthetic to manage various aspects of your care. IV sedation and oral sedation are especially strong options for patients with dental phobia, because they induce a sleep-like state. You won’t feel anything during the procedure, and you’re not likely to remember it. Nitrous oxide can be used to keep you alert but calm during your treatment. Local anesthetic is applied or injected to a treatment site and numbs only that specific area. With these tools, your transformation to a new smile can be smooth and comfortable.
