Dr. Chris B. Gardner, DDS, MHS, is a Shreveport native and graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge. He is proud to have been raised in Shreveport where he was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Byrd High School. He then received his dental degree from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, and completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his certificate in periodontics and a masters in health sciences.
Upon moving back to the Shreveport – Bossier area, he completed over 40 years of private practice in Bossier City, where he was the sole periodontist. Recently, at the invitation of his colleagues, Drs. O’Neill and Calahan, he joined their practice on April 1, 2024.
He has been married to his wife, Mimi O’Brien Gardner, for 46 years. He has two daughters: Berret, lives in Thailand with her Thai husband, and Caroline, recently married to her husband, Austin, living in Baton Rouge. No grandchildren, but the cutest golden retriever grandpuppy in the world, Tater Tot! Dr. Gardner
loves saltwater fishing, especially in the Hackberry/Lake Charles area, and beginning to enjoy more traveling every year!
